Glenn: What does your company do?
Rashid: We are a game development company located here in downtown Kitchener. We have designed and published multiple mobile games that have reached critical mass world wide. Our biggest product is called Happy Park, right after release it became number 1 game in US, Canada, UK, Aus and 18 other countries. It has gone on to become the biggest theme park simulation game in the mobile market. With over 12 million players, we are working on some very exciting new products while coping up with all the growth.
Glenn: What does it mean for your company to be located in Waterloo Region?
Rashid: Waterloo region has been crucial for the growth of infiniDy. There is an amazing pool of talent that is available for technology companies here. We have been able to leverage University of Waterloo’s coop program, talented students from local colleges have also been helpful. Plus we have business incubators like communitech and accelerator center that has connected us with many resources needed for success in business.
Glenn: How has Communitech been of assistance to your company?
Rashid: Communitech has been very helpful for us. Being a startup you go through lots of challengers. There are many things that founders don’t know about running business. Like how to effectively manage teams, hire, raise money, connect and network with key industry individuals. Communitech helped us do that in an effective and efficient way. We can learn from others mistakes and communitech connected us with veteran Enterprenure and industry leaders who helped us jump through various hoops and challenges that came along our way. The infrastructure they have garnered is also very useful – it helped us hire professional people and brand us as serious business.
